We are currently seeking a Special Education Teacher (LBS1) for two upcoming short-term assignments in DuPage County, Illinois for the 2025–2026 school year. These full-time roles offer the chance to support students in both resource and self-contained settings within collaborative and student-centered school communities.

Both assignments are full-time, with guaranteed weekly hours and a clear schedule. You'll be joining school teams that prioritize inclusive practices and strong educator collaboration.

Position Details:

Position: Special Education Teacher (LBS1)
Location: West Chicago, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 35 guaranteed hours/week

Elementary Assignment:
Dates: September 29, 2025 – January 2026
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Caseload: Resource, approximately 8–10 students (Grades K–5)

Middle School Assignment:
Dates: Mid-October 2025 – January 2026
Hours: 7:25 AM – 2:55 PM
Caseload: Self-contained, 5 students with 2 classroom paraprofessionals (Grades 6–8)

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals in resource or self-contained classrooms.

• Collaborate and co-plan with general education staff and paraprofessionals.

• Lead or contribute to IEP development and meetings.

• Adjust curriculum and instructional approaches to meet diverse learner needs.

• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation.

• Attend school/district professional development and training (CPI certification may be required).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.

• Experience supporting students with varied academic and behavioral needs.
