Job Description

Actalent is currently seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter and Designer to join our team at our Phoenix, Arizona office. The position provides growth opportunities into electrical designing and engineering, encompassing a variety of projects such as potable and non-potable water facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, street and sports lighting, solar/PV systems, and commercial or industrial buildings. Responsibilities + Develop and maintain architectural, mechanical, civil, and electrical plan layouts using AutoCAD. + Ensure quality control through backchecking and implementing CAD etiquette, such as centering text and creating aesthetically pleasing layouts. + Manage symbols/blocks, and title blocks, and perform text masking for optimal drawing presentation. + Insert and link Excel spreadsheets into CAD drawings and create PDFs. + Rotate base files within viewports and manage layer settings effectively. Essential Skills + Minimum of 2 years of experience in CAD drafting at an engineering consulting firm. + Proficiency in AutoCAD, including base file rotation and Excel integration. + Competence in reading and interpreting electrical plan layouts. + Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Strong attention to detail with an adaptable mindset. + Ability to work efficiently with a team and manage time effectively. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Resourceful and driven with a strong work ethic and passion for learning. + Capability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, civil, and electrical drawings. + Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
