UBM LLC is a leading provider of Janitorial Services. UBM, LLC is seeking a Housekeeping Manager for a Shopping Mall in the Whitehall, PA area. The Housekeeping Manager has the primary responsibility for ensuring Shopping Mall general areas and grounds are cleaned according to established standards. The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for directly supervising the daily activities of hourly cleaners and ensuring employees are performing their required tasks and assignments efficiently. Duties shall include:

  • Assess client needs and take appropriate actions/steps to improve client satisfaction.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to clients.
  • Inspect assigned client areas daily to ensure cleaning is complete and thorough.
  • Monitor cleaning supplies to ensure proper inventory is available and client preferred brands are being used.
  • Be a leader to staff and create a positive work environment.
  • Prepare staff work schedules.
  • Assign specific duties and tasks to cleaners.
  • Hold “tool box” meetings and train staff on proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Train new hires in appropriate cleaning skills and cleaning supply handling.
  • Maintain documentation and logs of training and equipment maintenance/repair.
  • Investigate and complete incident investigation reports for all accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents.
  • Approve and submit staff timecards for payroll.
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours. Schedule is not limited to standard business.

Skills/Abilities

  • Administration and Management: Knowledge of business and management principles to provide leadership and coordination of people and resources.
  • Customer Service: Knowledge of principles to provide exceptional customer service including assessment of client needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Computer Skills: Strong literacy in Microsoft Office Suite -- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, energetic and a team player.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.

Experience:

  • 5 years’ experience in cleaning environment
  • 3 years of supervisory experience required.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
