Job Summary
\n\n
\n\t - The primary purpose of your job position is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the residents assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.
\n
\n\n
Responsibilities
\n\n
\n\t - Administrative Duties and Daily Functions \n\n\t
\n\t\t - Provide care to residents per the careplan and all assigned tasks as instructed.
\n\t\t - Reports all changes in a residents condition (skin condition changes, complaints, poor intake, accidents incidents) to the LPN/RN as soon as possible.
\n\t\t - Completes work timely.
\n\t\t - Follows all policies and procedures applicable to MRCC.
\n\t\t - Documents all actions before leaving shift.
\n\t\t - Gives report to immediate supervisor prior to leaving unit.
\n\t\t - Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the unity and shift.
\n\t\t - Cooperate with inter-departmental personnel.
\n\t\t - Keeps working areas and resident rooms clean and clutter-free.
\n\t\t - Provides care in accordance with internal policies, and governing laws and regulations. Reports variances to LPNs/RNs/DON.
\n\t
\n\t \n\t - Care Plan, Kardex, MDS, and Assessment \n\t
\n\t\t - Ensures accuracy of careplan and kardex and notifies LPN/RN when changes are required.
\n\t\t - Effectively communicates the plan of care.
\n\t\t - Ensures that resident care plan is followed.
\n\t\t - Notifies LPN/RN according to policy.
\n\t
\n\t \n\t - Communication: \n\t
\n\t\t - Ensures appropriate and ongoing communication to the resident, family, staff, MD, IDT, etc.
\n\t\t - Uses communication to enhance quality of resident care and staff working environment.
\n\t
\n\t \n\t - Personnel/Staff Development \n\t
\n\t\t - Promotes an environment of learning.
\n\t\t - Attends mandatory inservices and meets minimum continuing education requirements.
\n\t\t - Promotes a positive, friendly work environment.
\n\t
\n\t \n\t - Equipment and Supplies: \n\t
\n\t\t - Uses equipment after training appropriately.
\n\t
\n\t \n\t - Quality Assurance: \n\t
\n\t\t - Constantly strives to enhance the resident and staff experience.
\n\t\t - Follows MRCC policies and procedures, including HIPAA.
\n\t\t - Immediately reports unusual problem/accident/incident regarding resident care to RN/House Supervisor.
\n\t
\n\t \n\t - Safety/Infection Control: \n\t
\n\t\t - Is compliant with standards and regulations.
\n\t\t - Reports potential outbreaks and takes appropriate measures to control/ eliminate infection control exposures.
\n\t
\n\t \n\t - Other specific requirements: \n\t
\n\t\t - Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and be enthusiastic.
\n\t\t - Must work harmoniously with others.
\n\t\t - Seeks out new methods and principles to incorporate into the nursing practice.
\n\t\t - Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment.

\n\t - EXPERIENCE \n\n\t \n\t
\n\t
\n\t EDUCATION \n\t \n\t\t - GED or High School Diploma preferred, NYS CNA
