Coding Tutor/Instructor

Do you enjoy teaching and working with kids? Do you have experience with basic coding? Do you like playing video games? If you answered yes, this might be the job for you!

We are looking for a Sensei (Coding Tutor/Instructor) to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward thinking minds, working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. Our Sensei is the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas center.

Responsibilities include:

• Learn and teach Code Ninjas' game curriculum
• Work with children (aka Ninjas) on their belt curriculum
• Create a positive, safe, and fun environment in which students can grow
• Assist with Day Camps, Parent Night Outs, Birthday Parties, and Summer Camps
• Develop/modify STEM activities to support belt and camp curriculum
• Follow opening/closing and cleaning duties daily

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children ages 7 and up (1 year Required)
• Computer programming experience (1 year Required)
• Enthusiastic about working with kids; mentoring and teaching
• Patient, kind, and understanding
• Works well with others; collaborates and takes pride in their work
• Upbeat and fun individual with a passion for technology and learning
• Knowledgeable about coding and technology
• Some experience in Robotics, Minecraft, or Roblox

Code Ninjas is the nation's fastest growing kids coding franchise. In our center, kids ages 7-14 learn to code in a fun, non-intimidating way by playing and building video games they love. Kids have a blast and can't wait to come back. Parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and new skills including coding, math, logic, and problem-solving, as they progress from white to black belt. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Experience:

• Teaching/Tutoring: 1 year (Required)
• Programming: 1 year (Required)

Location:

• Evergreen, San Jose, CA

Work Remotely: No, In person only

Expected hours: 3 12 per week

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• Weekends

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
