Data Entry Operator at Labcorp summary:

The Data Entry Operator at Labcorp is responsible for accurately entering patient test results into laboratory systems, distributing daily worksheets, and ensuring proper storage of test data. The role includes communicating with clients about test results, ordering supplies, and performing general administrative tasks. This position supports Labcorp’s mission to provide vital health information while requiring attention to detail and proficiency in data entry within a healthcare environment.

Labcorp is seeking a Data Entry Operator to join our team in RTP, NC.

Work Schedule: Second Shift, Tuesday-Saturday 12:00pm to 8:30pm

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Job Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry of patient’s results in a timely and accurate manner
  • Print out and distribute daily worksheets for technical staff
  • Use various laboratory systems to enter test results
  • Ensure test results are stored in their proper location
  • Call client with test results when necessary
  • Order supplies for the department when need
  • Other administrative and clericals tasks as required

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong data entry and typing skills
  • Previous experience in a data entry position is preferred
  • Previous medical or production experience is a plus
  • Comfortable handling biological specimens
  • Ability to accurately identify specimens
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Able to pass a standardized color blind test
