Our client is a Public Accounting firm located in Boca Raton, FL. They have 3 offices and 16 employees. They are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Enrolled Agent (EA) to join our dynamic public accounting firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing tax preparation and planning for individual and business clients, representing clients before the IRS, and supporting the firm’s compliance and advisory services. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio and play a key role in delivering exceptional client service.

This role primarily focuses on the preparation and review of individual income tax returns (Form 1040) . The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of current tax laws, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns
  • Represent clients before the IRS on audits, collections, and appeals
  • Provide expert guidance on tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities
  • Conduct client consultations to assess tax needs and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax code and regulatory changes
  • Respond to IRS and state tax authority inquiries
  • Assist with bookkeeping, payroll, and other accounting services as needed
  • Support partners and CPAs with tax research and special projects
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and deliver a high standard of service
Qualifications:
  • Active Enrolled Agent (EA) license required
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of tax experience, preferably in a public accounting firm
  • Proficiency in tax software
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus
