Job Description
Location: Waco, TX
Work Model: On-site for first 6-9 months then hybrid
Hours: M-F, 8am-5pm
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with IT and informatics teams to deliver high-quality, integrated healthcare solutions.
- Configure Epic Prelude and Cadence modules to enhance user efficiency, usability, and patient safety.
- Evaluate, test, and implement Epic system updates, upgrades, and new features as required.
- Manage user and provider records within the system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support IT systems during service expansions and new site integrations.
- Provide initial support and guidance to trainers and end-users during system updates and go-lives.
- Document system builds and updates for cross-team collaboration and coverage.
- Resolve day-to-day issues, document break-fixes in a ticket-based work order system, and provide backup support for non-primary Epic modules as needed.
Must-Have Skills:
- Associate degree in IT, Engineering, Math, MIS, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Hands-on experience or training with Epic Prelude and Cadence modules.
- Excellent analytical and collaborative problem-solving abilities.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills for effective team and user interactions.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Bachelors degree in a related field.
- Experience in clinical or clerical roles within healthcare settings.
- Background in medical billing/coding, appointment scheduling, patient registration, or nursing.
- Experience with ambulatory reporting or informatics tasks.
- Willingness to participate in after-hours support and occasional cross-coverage for additional Epic applications.
