The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in English literature and composition, with the ability to teach a wide range of courses including SAT English, English 9 (I), Honors English 9, English 10 (II), Honors English 10, English 11 (III) – American Literature, English 12 (IV) – British Literature, AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, and Academic Writing. Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons across assigned English courses. Evaluate student performance through formative and summative assessments, and provide timely, actionable feedback to guide academic growth. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a closely related field required; Master’s degree preferred. Valid teaching credential or licensure in secondary English Language Arts (or equivalent qualification). Minimum of two years of recent experience teaching or tutoring high school English, with demonstrated success in both literature and writing instruction. Strong command of diverse teaching strategies, assessment tools, and educational technologies.
