Information Technology Specialist (Application Software) Join to apply for the Information Technology Specialist (Application Software) role at Indian Health Service . This position is located with the Office of Information Technology (OIT), Division of Health Information Technology and Modernization & Operations (DHITMO). The purpose of this position is to serve as an advisor to the management team in evaluating data, processes, and procedures to determine the effectiveness of the program's operations, management, and organizational efficiency and productivity. The incumbent reports to the Supervisory Information Technology Specialist or designee. Key Responsibilities: Manage and support commercial EHR software application configurations. Analyze and assess proposed changes impacting EHR system configurations. Maintain documentation to validate EHR application functionality. Participate in EHR go-live activities ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Provide end-user support during training and implementation. Respond to helpdesk requests and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Analyze application performance and support quality improvement initiatives. Produce project documentation including workflows, gap analysis, and test plans. Minimum Requirements: Attention to detail, customer service skills, excellent oral communication, and problem-solving abilities. One year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent. Certification in Oracle Cerner EHR Millennium Fundamentals or Oracle Cerner Millennium Core (proof required). Additional Information: This is a full-time position, with no promotion potential.
