Information Technology Specialist (Application Software) Join to apply for the Information Technology Specialist (Application Software) role at Indian Health Service . This position is located with the Office of Information Technology (OIT), Division of Health Information Technology and Modernization & Operations (DHITMO). The purpose of this position is to serve as an advisor to the management team in evaluating data, processes, and procedures to determine the effectiveness of the program's operations, management, and organizational efficiency and productivity. The incumbent reports to the Supervisory Information Technology Specialist or designee. Responsibilities include: Managing and supporting commercial EHR software application configurations. Analyzing and assessing proposed changes impacting EHR system configurations. Maintaining documentation for EHR functionality and staying current with evolving features. Participating in EHR go-live activities ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Providing end-user support during training and implementation. Responding to helpdesk requests and communicating effectively with stakeholders. Analyzing application performance and documenting configuration challenges. Supporting quality improvement processes and evaluating workflows. Producing project documentation, including workflows, gap analyses, and test plans. Requirements: U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass background checks. Selective Service Registration (if applicable). Certification in Oracle Cerner EHR Millennium Fundamentals or Oracle Cerner Millennium Core (proof required). Experience with EHR systems, configuration management, and project management. Qualifications: Experience and/or education demonstrating the ability to perform the duties. Specific experience includes building/configuring EHR applications, system upgrades, data migrations, and EHR implementations. Additional information: This position is covered by a bargaining unit and has no promotion potential.
