Job Description

Deputy is a global SaaS remote‑first workforce management company with hubs in Sydney, Melbourne, San Francisco and London, plus team members working remotely across the United States. Our platform serves over 1.5 million workers and 375,000 workplaces across 100+ countries. We are backed by top global investors and recently achieved Unicorn status. At Deputy, we’re improving the world of work, one shift at a time, for 80% of the world’s workforce: hourly workers. These are the dedicated employees who keep our world running – from baristas to nurses, cleaners to delivery drivers, florists to factory workers. Despite their vital role in society, most workplace technology has focused on those workers who sit behind a desk, but at Deputy, we transform the frontline. When businesses use Deputy, their workplaces thrive – the business is more profitable, compliant, and productive, while the workers are more engaged and happier at work. If you’re passionate about creating solutions that put people first and helping businesses and their teams thrive, join us at Deputy and make an impact where it matters most! The Role As a Learning Experience Designer, you'll design, maintain, and test in‑product learning experiences. You'll apply expertise in Adult Learning, Instructional Design, and user onboarding to strategically scope, design, build, and test effective user journeys using WalkMe and other tools. These guided experiences are vital for converting free trials, streamlining account setup, offering timely support, and boosting product adoption. A solid understanding of agentic AI's potential is essential, as the learning experiences developed will integrate with and enhance these AI capabilities. Success in this role demands exceptional communication abilities, robust technical skills, and a passion for data‑driven decisions and ongoing optimization to achieve desired outcomes. Responsibilities To deliver optimal user experiences and maximize client value, gain a deep understanding of the challenges our clients face. Design, scope, build, and test high‑quality guided experiences utilizing WalkMe, a Digital Adoption Platform. Work with commercial, product, design, and engineering teams to ensure a cohesive user experience. Establish success metrics and analyze data to prioritize work based on business objectives. Requirements & Qualifications Strong background in Instructional Design, UX, and Adult Learning, coupled with experience in Digital Adoption Platforms like WalkMe (preferred), Pendo, or Whatfix. Proficient in HTML, CSS, and jQuery selectors. Practical understanding of agentic AI and AI chatbots for support. Meticulous attention to detail for precise technical builds and clear communication. Able to independently manage diverse projects with multiple stakeholders. Embraces uncertainty and is eager to learn and experiment. $89,600 - $112,000 a year The salary range for this position takes into account multiple factors that are all considered to determine an individual candidate’s starting pay. These factors include but are not limited to: market factors, experience, technical and non‑technical skills, education, certifications, and other business acumen. This range does not include any potential incentive programs, such as individual or organizational performance bonuses. Employee Perks Enjoy a flexible remote-first work policy (with a work-from-home stipend to set you up for success at home!) Own a piece of Deputy through our Employee Share Ownership Plan (ESOP) Take paid parental leave to support you and your family We’ll match your 401k contributions to help you save for the future Access mental health support with Spring Health Get comprehensive health benefits Use our commuter reimbursement program Take additional leave days — including 20 PTO days, study assistance, celebration days and volunteering Join our global working groups; focused on collaboration, belonging and connection Deputy believes in equal opportunity and that inclusiveness and diversity promotes innovation.
