Job Description
Our client, a leading litigation firm, is seeking a Litigation Support Specialist, Paralegal to join their team. This position will be hybrid, requiring full-time in-office presence for the first 90 days. As an ESI Paralegal and Specialist, the candidate will support attorneys across multiple offices throughout all phases of litigation, from case initiation to trial and appeal. Several years of litigation and eDiscovery experience in California state and federal courts is preferred. Proficiency in tools like Relativity, OnCue, and Opus is required. The successful candidate will manage document collections, oversee eDiscovery databases, prepare court filings, coordinate trial logistics, and more. A bachelor’s degree or ABA-approved paralegal certificate is preferred.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks- Gather physical evidence, documents, and data from clients, opposing counsel, and third parties, maintaining proper custody records
- Sort, load, and manage files to ensure fast access and review by legal teams
- Review materials in electronic platforms, tagging for privilege and key legal issues
- Coordinate logistics for document production, including redactions and privilege log creation
- Communicate with clients, vendors, co-counsel, court staff, experts, and third parties as needed
- Perform research into facts, opposing parties, or expert backgrounds
- Input information and create detailed timelines, witness lists, and case player summaries
- Compile exhibits, appendices, and other supporting files for court submissions and service
- Draft basic pleadings, subpoenas, legal forms, and client correspondence
- Conduct legal research and verify citations using Westlaw or Lexis Nexis
- Generate tables of authorities and contents, including hyperlinking for court submissions
- Prepare reference binders for hearings, depositions, or attorney prep sessions
- Oversee tech setup for depositions and courtroom appearances, providing onsite or remote trial tech support
- Draft and organize outlines, trial demonstratives, jury instructions, witness/exhibit lists, and other trial support materials
- Coordinate scheduling and prep for witnesses appearing at hearings or trials
- Provide support with ad hoc legal or administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Litigation Background- Bachelor’s degree or completion of an ABA-recognized paralegal certificate program preferred
- Several years of hands-on litigation support and eDiscovery experience in CA state and federal matters; background in real estate or construction litigation is a plus
- Must be highly proficient with litigation and document review tools such as Relativity, OnCue, and Opus
- Advanced understanding of MS Office, Adobe/Kofax, and legal support software
- Annual billable target of 1,600 hours
Expected salary for this non-exempt role is $85,000 - $115,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors.
