Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance and Repair Technician to join their operations team. In this hands-on role, you will help ensure the smooth operation of their manufacturing facility by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting facility improvement initiatives. Responsibilities:

• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment such as mixers, pumps, and HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Proactively identify and address potential issues to prevent downtime.
• Maintain and service batching systems, compounding equipment, and filling lines.
• Support calibration and routine performance testing of facility systems.
• Perform general repairs, including lighting, plumbing, and painting.
• Adhere to OSHA, GMP, and company safety protocols.
• Keep accurate maintenance records using the CMMS.
• Recommend and implement improvements for equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Assist in developing and organizing a scalable maintenance program.
• Support facility upgrades and equipment improvement projects.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and EHS teams.
• Provide maintenance support during audits and emergency situations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/trade school certification is a plus.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (fragrance, chemical, food, or pharmaceutical industries preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively resolve maintenance issues.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Basic understanding of PLCs, instrumentation, and automated systems.
• Strong communication skills; Spanish helpful, but not necessary.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments; forklift experience is a plus.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment with strong fragrance odors present.
