We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Bibb Medical Center. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for identifying and addressing maintenance needs in various hospital systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components. Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance checks on hospital equipment and systems to ensure their functionality.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems, plumbing issues, HVAC units, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hospital staff and address urgent repair needs swiftly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
  • Record and document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in compliance with hospital policies.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of facility-related reports and documentation as required.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to coordinate larger repair projects and preventative maintenance tasks.
Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in maintenance-related fields preferred.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively when performing repairs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with staff, patients, and vendors effectively.
  • Weekend call rotation.
