Bay Area Allergy & Asthma is a board-certified allergy and immunology practice led by Dr. Mona Mangat. We provide comprehensive care including in-office diagnostics, immunotherapy, and our unique Accelerated Allergy Treatment (AAT) program. Known for patient-centered care, integrity, and compassion, we serve a diverse population across two locations in the Tampa Bay Area.

Position Summary
The Practice Manager oversees the daily operations of both our St. Petersburg offices, ensuring efficient clinical workflows, high patient satisfaction, and a well-supported staff. This role also includes HR generalist responsibilities, including payroll, employee relations, recruiting, and scheduling. The Practice Manager serves as a key member of the leadership team to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission and goals.

This is a part-time, hybrid role requiring approximately 20–25 hours per week, with flexibility for a combination of in-office and remote work.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily clinical and administrative workflows, including skin testing, spirometry, immunotherapy (shots and AAT), food and drug challenges, biologics, subcutaneous immunoglobulin, and patch testing.

  • Manage patient scheduling, follow-ups, and portal communication to optimize access and satisfaction.

  • Track practice hardware (computers, scanners, etc) and be primary communication point w/ IT vendor.

Human Resources & Staff Management

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for the practice, handling employee relations, employee benefits, conflict resolution, performance management, and corrective action as needed.

  • Administer biweekly payroll and time tracking, ensuring accuracy and compliance with wage and hour laws.

  • Oversee staff recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and orientation.
    Maintain up-to-date job descriptions, personnel files, and HR policies in compliance with employment regulations.

  • Coordinate and manage staff scheduling, vacation requests, and coverage to ensure consistent workflow.

  • Conduct or coordinate staff training and continuing education opportunities.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.

  • Develop and maintain practice policies and clinical protocols.

  • Track and respond to patient safety concerns, compliance risks, and audits.

Strategic Growth

  • Provide data and insights to support long-term planning and practice innovation utilizing reporting features via eClinicalworks(EMR).

Qualifications

Required

  • 2–5 years of experience in healthcare operations or practice management.

  • Experience handling HR responsibilities such as payroll, employee relations, and staff scheduling.

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.

Preferred

  • Experience with EMR and practice management systems (eClinicalWorks preferred)

  • Familiarity with Florida employment regulations and insurance systems.
    Background in allergy/immunology or specialty outpatient care practice.
