The Parks and Facilities Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled/skilled work in the maintenance, repair and construction of park landscapes, grounds, equipment and facilities. You will join a fast-paced, dynamic team environment, perform preventative maintenance and repairs, and provide exceptional customer service. Parks and Facilities Maintenance Worker I
This is the entry level class in the Parks and Facilities Maintenance Worker series. This class is distinguished from the Parks and Facilities Maintenance Worker II by the performance of the more routine tasks and duties assigned to positions within the series. Since this class is typically used as a training class, employees may have only limited or no directly related work experience
Parks and Facilities Maintenance Worker II
This is the full journey level class within the Parks and Facilities Maintenance Worker series. Employees within this class are distinguished from the Parks and Facilities Maintenance I by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned. Employees at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit. Positions in this class are flexibly staffed and are normally filled by advancement from the I level or, when filled from the outside, have prior experience. This class is distinguished from the Senior Parks and Facilities Maintenance Worker in that the latter performs the most difficult and responsible duties assigned to class, including providing lead supervision to subordinate Parks and Facilities Maintenance Workers

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience:
One year of responsible parks and/ or facility maintenance experience is desirable.
Training:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
License or Certificate
Applicants are required to possess a valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Ability to obtain QAC (qualified applicator certification) within one year of hire. City will fund one training / test preparation course.

Parks and Facilities Maintenance Worker I - $ 5,339.63- $6,490.35 per month
Parks and Facilities Maintenance Worker II - $ 5,910.63- $7,184.41 per month
