Plant Controller – Madison Heights, MI (Onsite with 1 Day Remote Flexibility)
\n Salary: $135,000–$150,000 + Bonus
We’re looking for a Plant Controller to join a growing consumer packaged goods organization in Madison Heights, MI. This is a direct hire, permanent role offering strong visibility and impact within an organization that’s investing heavily in expansion, innovation, and operational excellence. As the key business partner to Plant Operations and Manufacturing Leadership, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, cost control, and strategic decision support across the plant.
\n\n \nWhat You’ll Do
\n\nPartner closely with the Plant Director and Manufacturing Leadership (Engineering, Quality, Safety, Logistics) to deliver actionable financial insights
\n\t\n\tLead Operations Finance for a major manufacturing facility, ensuring accurate and efficient cost control
\n\t\n\tDevelop and maintain standard costing models and allocation methods
\n\t\n\tAnalyze production, cycle count, and inventory variances, identify root causes, and recommend solutions
\n\t\n\tProvide cost modeling and analysis for new products, capital projects, and growth initiatives
\n\t\n\tSupport the S&OP process, assessing financial impacts of business decisions
\n\t\n\tDrive forecasting, budgeting, and month-end close activities, including accruals and variance analysis
\n\t\n\tTrack and report key KPIs such as throughput, yield, scrap, and labor efficiency
\n\t\n\tDeliver monthly operations performance reports and insights to plant leadership
\n\t\nWhat You Bring
\n\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
\n\t\n\t7–10+ years of experience in cost accounting, manufacturing finance, or FP&A
\n\t\n\tManufacturing experience is required (CPG or Food industry a plus)
\n\t\n\tExperience with SAP is required
\n\t\n\tStrong accounting, reporting, and financial analysis skills
\n\t\n\tAdvanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems, and financial modeling
\n\t\n\tExcellent communication, collaboration, and business partnering skills
