Job Description: Senior Power BI Developer (Fully Remote) Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into clear technical solution and design documents
• Design, develop, and optimize Power BI semantic models, including data models, DAX measures, and Power Query transformations, following industry best practices
• Integrate Power BI with multiple data sources such as Enterprise Data Warehouses, SQL Server, SharePoint, APIs, and other structured/unstructured sources
• Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards, including implementation of Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve report performance, scalability, and reliability
• Perform DirectQuery performance tuning by optimizing source queries and minimizing query latency
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and train internal teams to ensure solution sustainability and adoption

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence development, including at least 2 years in a senior or advanced role
• Advanced expertise in Power BI, DAX, and Power Query
• Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience working with relational databases
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL processes
• Proven experience in performance optimization, especially for large datasets and DirectQuery models
• Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst or equivalent Power BI-related certification
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
• Exposure to advanced analytics, AI features, or automation within Power BI

• High accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data presented in dashboards and reports
• Fully automated, scalable, and maintainable BI solutions with optimized performance
