Preschool Teacher - Step by Step School for Early Learning - State College, PACalling all early childhood professionals!Do you enjoy caregiving for little ones, or shaping the lives of young children? If you answered yes, then please consider joining our teaching teams at Step by Step and Building Bridges schools in State College!We are currently seeking early childhood educators who are knowledgeable in the field working with infants, toddlers, preschool and/or pre-k.Candidates must have either a degree in early childhood education or at least 2 years of experience in the preschool teaching field, a flexible and positive attitude, a hard work ethic, and a big heart for young ones. (Candidates without a degree or experience may be considered for assistant teaching/floating teaching positions, with starting pay range at $12-14/hr.) Starting compensation will be based on ECE credentials and years of experience in the field, within the listed range.Schedule:The position is full time (40 hrs/week), 5 days/week (within the range of 7am-6pm, Mon-Fri). Nights and weekends are yours!Benefits:Geisinger health insurance plan (currently just $500 deductible!)Paid time off (starting at 7 PTO days and 6 paid holidays for a total of 13 paid days in the first year, increasing each year thereafter)If you have young children of your own, childcare tuition is discounted 75% for the first child and 50% for additional children.401k retirement savings plan with up to 4% employer matching available after 6 months.If you are interested in pursuing a credential or degree in the field, we also offer the opportunity to take college classes in early education for no cost, by participation in PA's PASSHE funding program.Job duties may include:Collaborating with classroom co-teacher to implement age appropriate activities and lesson plansProviding stimulation for development across physical, cognitive, social, and emotional domains of learning (singing, reading, outdoor time, physical activities, simple hands-on art and sensory activities, etc)Meeting the children's physical needs for care (feeding, assisting with naptime routines, bathrooming, etc)Communicating as needed about the children's progress and day's activities with family members, in person and using an app for sharing information and photosAttending monthly staff meetings for professional development and school-wide communicationsCollaborating with school administrators to discuss daily plans and respond to the needs of the schoolStep by Step and Building Bridges schools are an equal opportunity employer and we encourage all interested and qualified candidates to apply!Rachel JohnsonEmail resume
