Position Overview

The firm seeks a Real Estate Attorney with 48 years of experience to join its busy and expanding commercial real estate practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial transactions, real estate development, and financing. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with sophisticated developers, lenders, and general contractors on major projects nationwide.

The firm offers client-facing interaction, and the ability to develop a diverse real estate skill set without the bureaucracy of a large firm.

This well-established, small-to-mid-sized law firm offers a full suite of legal services, including real estate, corporate, litigation, IP, health care, and estate planning. The firm is known for its entrepreneurial culture, low red tape, and hands-on client engagement. Founded in the early 1990s, it has grown steadily and is now planning a significant expansion of its commercial real estate group, with 23 additional hires anticipated.

The real estate team handles complex national and international commercial projects, including development, construction, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing work.

Key Responsibilities


  • Handle acquisitions and dispositions , financing transactions, and commercial leasing matters.
  • Manage the financial components of real estate acquisitions , including loan structuring and negotiation.
  • Joint venture agreements
  • Easements
  • Declarations
  • Purchase and sale agreements
  • Commercial leases
  • Oversee projects across the U.S. with additional exposure to international transactions in collaboration with foreign consortium partners.
  • Conduct due diligence and advise on long-term real estate asset strategy.


Compensation
  • Reasonable billable expectations of 1,7501,900 hours in the real estate group.
