Job Description

Transform the educational experience for deaf and hard of hearing students as a Remote DHH Teacher! We're seeking a dedicated educator to provide comprehensive virtual instruction and support services to students with hearing impairments throughout Michigan.

Position Details Full-time remote role focused on delivering individualized deaf education services. You'll serve students across multiple grade levels while managing comprehensive case responsibilities through our advanced virtual platform.

Student Services & Programming

• Elementary foundational language development (K-5)
• Middle school academic and social skill building (6-8)
• High school transition and career preparation (9-12)
• Students with varying degrees of hearing loss
• Students using diverse communication modalities including ASL, spoken language, and assistive technology

Professional Duties

• IEP development, implementation, and monitoring for DHH students
• Virtual classroom instruction with visual and hands-on learning strategies
• Language development planning and support across communication modes
• Assessment coordination and progress reporting
• Team collaboration with audiologists, SLPs, and general education teachers
• Family communication and partnership building
• State and federal compliance management

Credential Requirements

• Master's degree in Deaf Education or related field
• Valid Michigan DHH teaching license
• Minimum 2 years of direct DHH teaching experience
• Fluency in American Sign Language preferred
• Virtual instruction experience highly valued
• Strong technology proficiency and adaptability
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
