Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a skilled General Education Teacher specializing in Italian to work with high school students in a homebound setting. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about teaching and dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment for students with unique needs.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-on-one instructional sessions for high school students enrolled in Italian 1.
• Develop engaging lesson plans and educational materials tailored to meet individual student goals.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with parents, school staff, and support personnel to implement personalized educational strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments.
• Ensure compliance with educational standards and guidelines for foreign language instruction.

Qualifications:

• Valid general education teaching certification for high school students.
• Italian language endorsement, with a focus on foreign languages for grades 712.
• Initial Certification in Classroom Teacher Foreign Languages: Italian, or a comparable certification.
• Proven experience in teaching Italian or related subjects is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and families.

Location:

• Brentwood, NY (Homebound instruction)
