Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power Electronics Engineer with expertise in 400V to 800V AC, DC, DC, DC, and Inverter systems for automotive applications to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing power electronics systems and solutions for electric and hybrid vehicles. Work with high-level product architects to implement schematics for critical electric vehicle systems. In this position, you would influence system electrical routing and layout to align with performance and safety goals. You would collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to successfully achieve final product deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop power electronics systems and solutions for 400V to 800V AC, DC, DC, DC, and Inverter systems for automotive applications.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to assess the performance and reliability of power electronics systems.
  • Develop and optimize control algorithms for power electronics systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to integrate power electronics solutions into larger automotive systems.
  • Conduct testing and validation of power electronics systems and solutions for automotive applications.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in power electronics and related fields for automotive applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in power electronics design and development for 300V to 800V AC, DC, DC, DC, and Inverter systems for automotive applications.
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics topologies, semiconductor devices, and control techniques for automotive applications.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, ALTIUM, LTSpice, etc.
  • Experience in developing and optimizing control algorithms for power electronics systems for automotive applications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in electric and hybrid vehicle power electronics is a plus.
