Job Description

Designs, analyzes, develops, configures and maintains Virtual Infrastructure, Operating Systems, Networks, Servers, Technology Lifecycle Management, Security/Vulnerability Programs and Software Solutions. Understands own work area professional concepts/standards, regulations, strategies and operating standards. Makes decisions regarding own work approach/priorities, and follows direction. Work is managed and often guided by precedent and/or documented procedures/regulations/professional standards with some interpretation.

Technical Expertise:

• Operating Systems & Hardware: Demonstrated strong working knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems, server hardware, and virtualization technologies
• Server Management: Proven experience in standing up, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows Servers, including advanced problem isolation and resolution.
• Networking Fundamentals: Solid understanding of core networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, subnetting, DNS, and firewall configurations.
• Web Servers: Hands-on experience with Web Servers, particularly Internet Information Services (IIS), including configuration, deployment of web applications, and troubleshooting.
• Scripting & Automation: Experience in PowerShell scripting; Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Azure Resource Manager templates, Terraform) is a plus.
• Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with Azure cloud services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, and Azure Active Directory (Entra ID).
• CI/CD & DevOps: Understanding of the overall DevOps process and experience supporting CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Security & Compliance: Strong understanding of security best practices, vulnerability management, and experience with certificate management.
• Monitoring & Alerting: Experience with enterprise-grade monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Dynatrace)

Other Skills:

• Documentation & Diagramming: Demonstrated ability to compose clear, comprehensive technical documentation and create effective infrastructure diagrams.
• Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in configuration, documentation, and troubleshooting.
• Continuous Learning: Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and evolving industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Active DOD Secret clearance or higher is required to be considered
• Must be a US citizen
• Must reside within the continental US
