This opportunity includes two roles within the district: one Middle School Special Education Teacher and one Early Childhood Special Education Teacher. Both positions begin on August 18, 2025, and offer supportive environments with manageable caseloads and collaborative teams.

An active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement is required for both positions. The Early Childhood role prefers candidates with an Early Childhood endorsement.

Position Details:

Position 1: Middle School Special Education Teacher

• Start Date: 8/18/25

• Schedule: 7:10 AM – 2:45 PM

• Grade Level: Middle School

• Caseload Information: 12–15 students

• License Required: ISBE LBS1 PEL

Position 2: Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

• Start Date: 8/18/25

• Schedule: 8:25 AM – 4:00 PM

• Grade Level: Early Childhood & Preschool

• Caseload Information: 10 students in AM session, 10 students in PM session

• License Required: ISBE LBS1 PEL (preferably with Early Childhood endorsement)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.

• Collaborate with general education staff, families, and related service providers.

• Deliver specialized instruction and monitor student progress toward IEP goals.

• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.

• Early Childhood endorsement strongly preferred for EC role.

• Prior experience in a school setting is a plus.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
