The Special Education Teacher provides tailored instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, promoting their academic, social, and emotional development. They develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), modify curricula, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for each student. This role requires a professional educator license with special education endorsement and involves working full-time in a school setting.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, full-time school schedule
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours per week

Support students with diverse learning needs by differentiating instruction to meet their individual educational goals.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), modify curriculum, and track student progress.
Provide individualized instruction to cultivate academic, social, and emotional growth while managing student behavior and fostering inclusion.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning.
Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field.
Special Education Teaching Certification in the state of IL.
Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education Endorsement.
