STAFF MANAGER (Entry Level)

JOB IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION

Department: Human Resources

JOB SUMMARY

The duties of the Staff Manager will focus on the maintenance and development of our staff programs. Main responsibilities will include hiring and recruiting, professional development, and interdepartmental collaboration to ensure a positive environment for One More Child staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Manages the training and recruiting teams, overseeing day to day operations, and providing timely coaching and feedback on the teams’ performance.
  • Develop new and innovative ways to increase employee retention.
  • Reviews existing training programs, suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention.
  • Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role and OMC’s needs.
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Attends and participates in recruitment events as needed.
  • Involved with screening potential applicants, making recommendations, and supporting hiring managers in the interview process.
  • Assist with other department leads to all HR-included projects run smoothly
  • All other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma/GED
  • At least two years of HR-related experience

  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. This job requires the ability to work in stressful conditions from time to time and remain focused for extended periods of time. The ability to lift-up to 30 pounds (boxes, documents, and or computer equipment).
