**Job Title:** Night Shift Emergency Room Nurse
**Job Type:** Contract (Nursing) - Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week, Contract Weeks: 54
**Shift:** Nights from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (12-hour shifts)
**Location:** Various locations, with potential to float within specialty and possibly to ED hold.
**Position Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Nurse to join our team for night shifts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing patient assessments, determining care priorities, and providing immediate interventions as required. You will collaborate with medical staff to analyze assessment data, formulate and implement a plan of care, and evaluate its effectiveness in accordance with established policies and procedures.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine priority of care.
- Provide immediate interventions and care in emergency situations.
- Collaborate with medical staff to formulate and implement effective care plans.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and make adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies and healthcare standards.
**Qualifications:**
- A minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
- Travel nursing experience with at least one completed contract assignment.
- Ability to float within specialty and potentially to ED hold.
**Orientation and Training:**
- Candidates must complete a full orientation; failure to complete will result in termination.
- Orientation will begin on a Monday, with candidates receiving an email detailing instructions and required modules to be completed before orientation starts.
- The in-person class schedule will typically occur from Tuesday to Thursday.
**Additional Information:**
- RTO (Request Time Off) is limited to no more than 3 days.
- Special scheduling requests or block scheduling will not be accommodated.
- Unit-based orientation will be scheduled by the manager.
