Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and a FL or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a 19-bed Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Care for high acuity laboring mothers and newborns
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1-2:1
• Requires availability for 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week
• On-call required: 12 hours in a 6-week scheduling period
• Travelers are first to float and may be required to float to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes
• Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience is preferred
• Scrub color requirement: Galaxy Blue and/or White
• Must be comfortable managing high acuity patients in a fast-paced environment
• Orientation starts on a Friday with remote training and onsite badge/ID pickup required on the first day
• Strict 50-mile radius rule applies; candidates must not own or cosign property within 50 miles of the facility
• All requested time off must be submitted prior to offer; no RTO requests accepted after submission
• Team culture is supportive and travelers are expected to function as core staff
• Flu and COVID vaccination status may be required per facility protocols
• First-day documentation deadlines must be met

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
• Completion of AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course required
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring class and EFM certification preferred
• Degree from an accredited nursing program or at least 5 years of nursing experience required
