Job Description & Requirements ~ Specialty: Telemetry ~ Discipline: RN ~ Start Date: 08/11/2025 ~ Duration: 13 weeks ~36 hours per week ~ Shift: 12 hours, days ~ Employment Type: Travel Shift Notes 5a-530p     Experience Requirements Minimum 2+ years RN experience Float experience preferred IMCU experience required Cath Lab Recovery experience for IMCU General Submission Requirements Must have EPIC EMR experience Must have active IL RN license in hand Must provide Driver’s License Preferred: Prior travel experience No first-time travelers for this position Prescreen required: Clinical team will prescreen and recommend Hiring manager has 24 hours to accept/decline No second interviews Department: Float Pool RN Units Covered in Float Pool ~5 Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) ~5 Med-Peds ~ Telemetry (Tele) ~ Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) ~ Rehab ~ Behavioral Health (Senior, Adolescent, Adult) Staffing & Ratios RN:Patient Ratios: Med-Surg / Tele / Med-Peds: 1:5–6 IMCU: 1:5 CNAs Available: Ratio 1:10 CNAs sit with suicidal/behavioral patients Non-CNA sitters used if short staffed Charge Nurse: Days: Team lead per unit – non-patient care Nights/Weekends/Holidays: Charge takes patients   Certifications Required BLS ACLS NIHSS – Preferred Clinical Details Common Diagnoses: Med-Surg: Acute surgical, neuro/ortho (hips, knees), hospice, detox Med-Peds: Respiratory illnesses Tele: CHF, chest pain, post-surgical, radial cath IMCU: Chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP (continuous), high renal pop (PD), insulin drips Behavioral Health: Varies by age group Drips/Titration: No titration except Heparin (per protocol) IMCU may titrate: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Lasix, Insulin (non-titrated Glucomander) Equipment Notes: Vents: ICU only BiPAP/CPAP: Med/Tele: Home-use only IMCU/ICU: Continuous use RT manages vent settings RNs may be asked to assist with neb treatments – voluntary ~ Telemetry: ~ Remote monitoring ~24/7 Monitor Techs ~ Nurses verify strips Scheduling & Logistics Shifts: Float units: 12-hour shifts (5–5) Mental Health: 7–7 Weekend Requirement: Every other Holiday Requirement: Every other Call/Standby: Not usually required Assignment: Staff calls in 1 hour before shift for unit assignment First schedule: Plugged in where needed ~ Orientation: ~1 x 12-hour shift per unit ~ Units designed similarly for easier transition Other Details ~ Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue ~  About Talent4Health A leader and innovator, offering comprehensive talent solutions for the healthcare industry across the nation.
