Web Development Software Engineer II

DigitalOcean is seeking a Software Engineer II who is passionate about Web Development. Join our dynamic team dedicated to revolutionizing cloud computing and AI. You'll work on fullstack web development to build and maintain DigitalOceans publicfacing properties, drive product launches, internal tooling, community engineering, open source tooling, architectural overhauls and efficient CI/CD.

What Youll Do

• Watch over key marketing properties from a fullstack perspective, primarily in JavaScript, React, and Node.js.
• Collaborate with design, UX, marketing, and product stakeholders.
• Contribute to our internal design system component library.
• Participate and support operation excellence.
• Independently ship web updates from planning to launch and maintenance with high autonomy.
• Contribute to architectural decisions with a futureproofing mindset.
• Understand the full range of dependencies and keep them updated.

What Youll Add To DigitalOcean

• Bachelor and/or Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of handson experience building fullstack web experiences, with an emphasis on frontend web development.
• Strong skill set in foundational frontend technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React.js.
• Experience with foundational backend and infrastructure technologies such as Node.js, PostgreSQL, Nginx, CI/CD, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with networking and internet engineering best practices and handson experience with Next.js.
• Prior experience leveraging AI tooling to augment engineering productivity (bonus).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation Range

• $109,920 - $137,280
• Remote role.
